What have I done to deserve this….
I’ve just submitted the below letter to the Echo to outline my dismay at this years Big Weekend celebration.
So every year Cardiff Council celebrate my birthday by putting on a lavish open air festival outside the civic buildings called the Big Weekend, I assumed the naming of the event was a fat joke but I let it slide as they seemed to be making a lot of effort.
Each year they have selected the great and the good from the world of music to help make each birthday just that little bit special. In the past my birthday celebration has been commemorated by musical acts such as Bad Manners, The fun loving criminals, Glasvegas, The Zutons, Young Knives, Jimmy Cliff, The Automatic and Ash. I’m sure everyone remembers the Chaka Demus and Pliers set of 2010, Incredible!!!
Each year around this time I get excited to see who they’ve managed to booked for me this time, however after seeing the press release today I can only assume I have pissed on Rodney Berman’s chips at some point in the past 12 months. To celebrate my birthday this year they have booked as the headline act THE FEELING
